Hey there! I am Brittany (Brit-ta-ny) Lee. Thank you for taking time to learn more about me. I am an organizational development consultant and leadership coach who is passionate about creating tangible and sustained self and collective transformation through learning, dialogue, and practice. I strive to live a life that centers health & wellness. I strive to be a good ancestor for our future generations. The work has led me to this place where I am operating in my full power and strength, with no desire to make a u-turn.
As I reflect on the past 17+ years of my career, I am grateful for all of the experiences that have led me to this point. Growing up in the city of St. Louis was my initial rites of passage into equity transformation work and understanding my power and ability to intervene and disrupt. My professional journey, however, started in 2006 as a staff member in my community’s domestic violence shelter.
Since then, I have worked in many other spaces supporting victims and survivors of interpersonal violence, creating intergenerational learning spaces that challenge our biases, assumptions, and socializations, while highlighting the powerful role that understanding intersectionality plays in our efforts to transform ourselves, communities, and systems. Those experiences also led me to connect the dots between Violence Prevention and DEIJA (diversity, equity, inclusion, justice, accessibility) work, with those who support our most frontline organizers and activists in the fight for environmental justice.
I look forward to having the opportunity to share more about myself with you and to get to know you by name and story. In the meantime here a few career highlights that have deepened my skillset, analysis, and praxis:
